Wedding Photography at Ponden Mill Weddings
Megan and Grove’s wedding at Ponden Mill Weddings was an absolute joy to capture. As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, I get to witness some incredible celebrations, but this one was something truly special. From the laughter-filled morning preparations to the golden sunset portraits, every moment was filled with love, fun, and a real sense of togetherness.
The morning started with Megan and her bridesmaids getting ready in a whirlwind of excitement. The room was filled with the sounds of laughter, clinking glasses, and the occasional happy tear. There’s something magical about bridal prep—the anticipation, the shared memories, and the sheer joy of the day ahead. Meanwhile, Grove and his groomsmen were in high spirits, adding their own touch of fun to the preparations, with the Land Rover convoy arrival at Ponden Mill Weddings.
Ponden Mill provided the perfect backdrop for their beautiful ceremony. With its rustic charm and intimate atmosphere, it was a truly wonderful occasion. The love between Megan and Grove was evident in every glance and every smile they exchanged. As a Ponden Mill wedding photographer, I couldn’t have asked for a more stunning setting to capture such raw emotion and love.
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests spilled outside into the sunshine, where drinks flowed and laughter filled the air. The outdoor space at Ponden Mill is ideal for relaxed mingling, and it was wonderful to see everyone soaking in the happiness of the day. Special mention has to go to their beloved dog, Ralph, who was an absolute star. He was right at the heart of the celebrations, stealing the show with his adorable presence and, of course, posing perfectly for a few photos.
As the day turned to evening, we were treated to the most breathtaking sunset. There’s something truly magical about golden hour at Ponden Mill, and Megan and Grove took full advantage of it. We slipped away for a few moments to capture some stunning portraits in the warm, golden light amoungst the woodland setting. These moments always feel so special—a brief pause in the day where the couple can take it all in, just the two of them, before rejoining the celebrations. The resulting images are some of my favourites from the day.
And what a party it was. The evening reception was packed with energy, as friends and family filled the dance floor from the very first song. Watching Megan and Grove let loose and dance the night away, surrounded by the people they love most, was the perfect end to a truly wonderful day.
