Where do the sessions take place?

I photograph babies and families ‘on-location’, which means I do not use a studio and instead prefer to shoot in a location that has meaning for you as a family, and where children (and adults) feel most comfortable. This could be at your home, in a local park or anywhere that you and your family will feel comfortable. If you book the full session, we have the opportunity to shoot in a few locations which offers more variety in your final gallery.

What happens if the weather forecast isn’t good?

If the forecast looks like rain, I will get in touch a couple of days before the shoot to discuss options. This could include rescheduling (if you are keen for outside shots), or braving it and going ahead! We can shoot a great variety of indoor shots at your home and children in wellies jumping in puddles always make for fun photographs!

How many photographs will we receive?

This depends on which package you gave selected, but you can find out all the details of my most popular packages in the ‘packages and pricing’ tab. If you envisage something a little different, please get in touch and i’d love to hear how I can help.

How do we view the photographs once they are ready?

Your photographs will be delivered in a beautifully presented, secure online gallery. You can download all of your images from here in original quality.

What happens if my baby or child is ill?

If you child is unwell and you feel that you wouldn’t get the photographs you are hoping for, then I completely understand and we can reschedule to another day. All I would ask is that you let me know as soon as possible if this was the case.

What should we wear for the session?

Please wear whatever you would be most comfortable wearing. As a general guide, photographs visually look better without logos, heavily patterned and striped garments, so if these can be avoided then even better!

We don’t like having our photos taken, what can we do?

I understand that not everyone likes having their photographs taken, and my priority is always to try to make you feel at ease. I have received lots of feedback that I make my clients feel relaxed and at ease in-front of the camera, and we generally ease into a session with natural relaxed shots as a family. If you really did not want to be in the photographs, and instead just wanted images of your children then that’s also absolutely fine!

How far will you travel for a family shoot?

My travel is included within a 30 mile radius from Harrogate, North Yorkshire. If you live further afield, and would like me to travel to you, then my mileage is chargeable at 45p per mile (beyond the 30 mile radius).

How do we book you?

I would be so honoured to shoot your baby or family. To book me, please get in touch and we will find a suitable date. All I need then is a signed contract and a 50% deposit to be paid to confirm the booking.

Do you offer gift vouchers?

Yes, absolutely! Family shoots make a brilliant present! Shoots with grandparents also make super presents for birthdays or at Christmas. Please get in touch to buy a gift voucher for friends or family.
