The Tithe Barn Wedding - Bolton Abbey
One of the most wonderful parts of my job as a wedding photographer in Yorkshire is that I get to meet some amazing people, and spend time with them on their most special day capturing moments across the day that will help preserve their memories. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been able to capture Jenny & John’s amazing day at The Tithe Barn, a stunning Yorkshire wedding venue overlooking Bolton Abbey. Jenny & John had the most epic day, and so did I capturing it!
Highlights of the day included the most beautiful ceremony at the Tithe Barn, with several personal touches including readings from some of their closest people! The ceremony was filled with such a sense of joy and everyone spent the whole time smiling!
After the ceremony we had put aside a short window for some portraits. We went for a little wonder around the grounds of the Tithe Barn estate and managed to capture some beautiful portraits to mark the wedding day! We had such a laugh too, as we were all on a high in that ‘just married’ glow! We also took the opportunity to capture a few group shots that the couple had asked for!
The speeches, after some delicious food, were absolutely amazing - they had everything from sentimental tears through to roars of laughter and everything inbetween! You always know the speeches have gone well when they end with shots of green vodka being dished out by the best man! As the evening progressed, the party kicked into full gear - and what a party it was! Jenny & John had given so much thought to the little touches that just made the night - for example glow sticks, personalised sunglasses & some hilarious fancy dress items with a polaroid camera doing the rounds!
The final flourish of my time with Jenny & John on this incredible day was lighting some sparklers - and what epic shots we got from this!! We gathered a few of thier close friends, headed outside and got the sparklers going (not before my Dad-mode kicked in with me giving a safety briefing)! Taking these shots was a lot of fun, and as a photographer sometimes you know straight away you’ve captured an epic shot - and this was one of those moments!
Overall, Jenny & John’s beautiful wedding at The Tithe Barn was absolutely amazing - I had the best time photographing it for them and it was such an honour to capture these special moments that I hope will help preserve thier memories of this great day forever!
