As a Yorkshire wedding photographer, I am fortunate enough to capture some wonderful wedding days, in some stunning venues around this county. One such beautiful wedding day was Rowan & David’s stunning day at the amazing East Riddlesden Hall.
The day started with Rowan and her bridesmaids getting ready in a nearby hotel, and we had lots of fun whilst capturing some beautiful ‘prep’ shots in the morning. When everyone was ready, we moved onto the location of the ceremony and reception – East Riddlesden Hall. Nestled in the heart of West Yorkshire, East Riddlesden Hall provided a picturesque backdrop for Rowan and David's wedding day. The historic hall's rustic beauty created an atmosphere that was both romantic and intimate. The ceremony was beautiful and with some personal touches, it really captured the essence of their story.
The ceremony was followed by confetti – and I have to say this was probably the most epic confetti blizzard of the year so far and led to some amazing photographs!
One thing that really stood out to me on this beautiful day was the joy and happiness that everyone felt. From then smiles on everyone’s faces, the heartfelt speeches and the amount of laughter, the atmosphere was one of pure joy. I really enjoyed capturing so many lovely candid moments that reflected the couple's genuine happiness and the warmth of their guests’ celebrations.
East Riddlesden Hall's sprawling grounds and historic architecture provided the perfect canvas for capturing beautiful portraits of Rowan and David. I do recommend we set aside 15 minutes for a brief portrait session in the wedding day (don’t worry, it will be short – I’m definitely not going to take you off for hours on end). It’s so worth that little time investment to have some stunning portraits to remember your day with and also an opportunity for you to spend some time together as a newly married couple away from your guests for a few minutes.
As fate would have it, a torrential rainstorm swept through in the evening, adding an unexpected twist to the day. The rain, however, did little to dampen the spirits of the newlyweds and their guests. The evening party was epic, with the dancefloor becoming a focal point of the evening and was able to freeze these dynamic moments, preserving the energy and fun (plus, I was able to capture some funny moments with guests getting caught in the rainstorm)!
Rowan and David's East Riddlesden Hall wedding was an absolutely amazing day! I was so honoured to have been able to capture this special day and can’t wait to go back to East Riddlesden Hall again! Huge congratulations again Rowan & David x
