Yorebridge House Wedding Photographer

One of the joys of being a Yorkshire wedding photography (aside from working with so many AMAZING couples) is that you are able to capture the changing seasons. Each season brings with it something wonderful, but it’s hard to beat the beautiful colours of Autumn in Yorkshire! Ruth & Will’s beautiful wedding day At Yorebridge House in October was one great example. The Autumn colours were beautiful, the bride and groom amazing people, and the day so filled with joy and laughter.

Yorebridge House is a 5 Star, 3 AA Rosette, boutique hotel in the heart of Wensleydale in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. It is situated in the village of Bainbridge, in the heart of Wensleydale, in the Yorkshire Dales. The buildings are flanked by two rivers, The Ure and The Bain, and sits proudly next to the grand Yorebridge. It underwent a floor to ceiling renovation in 2006, restoring its many original features and enhancing its wonderful rooms with contemporary interior design. Yorebridge house has become one of my favourite wedding venues, offering a stunning setting, beautiful grounds, amazing food and amazingly helpful staff!

Ruth & Will’s wedding day started off with photographing the bride & groom prep. Will was getting ready at his family home, whilst Ruth was getting ready at Yorebridge House, having stayed over the night before with her Mum and sister. It was so much fun being able to spend some of this special time with each of them, and I always love the photos from this part of the day!

The ceremony itself was in the beautiful ceremony room at Yorebridge House. It was a very personal ceremony with readings from loved ones, with so much love and joy so clear for all to see! I had a hard time picking my favourite images from the ceremony, as there were so many beautiful shots, but I especially loved the photographs of the confetti exit down the aisle at the end!

We then had scheduled in some time for portraits, and thankfully the weather had dried up (after a very rainy morning). This meant that we could go onto the famous Yorebridge, and the surrounding area for some stunning portraits. I love everything about the portrait photographs – the autumn colours, the Yorkshire dales and most importantly the bride & groom with that ‘just-married’ glow! We even managed to get the guests to brave the colder weather for a large group shot of everyone at the wedding!

Before the dinner, there was a beautiful set of speeches. I spent most of my time laughing (whilst photographing) at some of the hilarious stories! All the speeches were amazing, and with everything from tears to belly-laughs, I was able to photograph this special moment in the day!

After some amazing food (thank to Ruth & Will and Yorebridge House for serving me a meal too – it was beautiful), the evening party kicked off in earnest… and WHAT A NIGHT! The dance floor was absolutely packed the whole time, with everyone in the mood for some serious dancing! The addition of the personalised sunglasses added a great element to the party, with whoever was fortunate (or unfortunate?) enough to be handed them expected to pull off some solo dance moves in the middle of the dance floor! I had such a blast and captured loads of amazing images!

I left so happy for Ruth and Will, knowing that their day had been absolutely AMAZING, and safe in the knowledge that I was going to be able to produce them a beautiful set of images that I hope they will treasure forever!

If you want to discuss how I can help capture your special day, then I would love to hear from you here.
